These are great break pads. I didn't believe that they would actually perform better than stock yet they really do. They are on my 98 Tacoma, a vehicle I use for everything. To say I drive my vehicles hard is an understatement. I was experiencing break fade with the stock pads yet with these I don't. You can actually feel them grabbing better or stopping better than the stock pads! They are worth every penny

These pads are great. They look good, feel good, and save my life every time I step on the brake pedal. Within the first week I had them (I dont recommend racing while still in the bed in period) I was racing a new corvette and was pulling on him pretty hard from behind at about 120 and I was getting mighty close to his rear bumper because there were too many people in the lane next to us and we were cruisin. The next thing I know someone cuts him, well both of us, off and he and I both slammed on our brakes. Now this is a corvette with corvette i wanna say 6-piston calipers (could be 8), and Im in a 90 talon with dual piston calipers w/baer xd/slotted rotors and I stayed right with him...by staying right with him I mean that I did not plow the rear end of his daddy's midlife-crisis-mobile. If my 90 talon can stay with a vette acc/decellerating and still have a blast in the winter for under $5000, Im happy. Oh yeah, get these pads and you too will outstop a corvette...well maybe anyway, but prob not.

Xbrakes pads - 1 -vs- Hawk LTS pads - 0
I previously had Hawk LTS SUV pads on my 2001 KB Supercharged Ford Escape and only after 5-10K miles I noticed a very annoying grinding and squealing sound during usage. Although I had approximately 1/2 pad left I decided to switch to a different brake pad. After doing some research, I decided on Xbrakes pads and I'm already very impressed with them compared to the Hawk pads that I purchased through Tire Rack. Initial bite is excellent and modulation is exceptional for a pad that costs $15.00 less than the Hawk pads. I received my new Xbrakes pads free of shipping costs from Brakeworld on top of that. I only have approx 100 miles on the Xbrakes pads, but I can already tell that they will provide me with years of excellent service. I will never purchase Hawk pads again. I drive in a very dusty environment, so I'm still waiting to see if the Xbrakes pads create any more brake dust than previous pads. But since I clean my custom 18" Sport Edition F10 wheels daily, the point is irrelevant.

Couldn't believe the improvement in stopping right out of the box. Never felt quite sure about the brakes from when the truck was new, but now I am sure that when I hit the pedal, the truck is going to stop where I want it to - smoothy and, so far, quietly. If they are this good freshly installed (by dealer), can't imagine what they will be like once they are seated in good. Will have to wait and see how much brake dust they generate.

I installed these on my wife's mini-van. I'm not a mechanic -- but now that I know how easy it is to change pads I'll never pay a mechanic again to do a brake job. I also changed out the rotors with some Brembo's.

Xbrakes vs. Nissan Frontier
The pad compound is stickier than oem/stock Nissan brake pads and provides improved brake pedal feel along with better initial braking power. A good choice over the oem brake pads.

If you need more stop for the buck!!!
they got here in 4 days. Esay to install. Still in the 500 mile break in stage. I could tell right away that my car has more stopping power. I have a 315 whp wrx and they were worth every cent.

Xbrakes brake pads for mini cooper S
Excellent product, much lower dusting levels than OEM, braking is as good as or better than OEM, they lasted just as long as OEM, I got ~40K miles or better before I put my second set of Xbrakes pads on. I run slotted/drilled rotors so that seemed to have no effect on pad wear. the rotors were not overly worn and will run for at least another set of pads if not a third (ie the pads do not seem to eat up the rotors any faster than OEM).

Quality you can see and feel.
I had heard about these brake pads from a few auto forums and decided to give them a try. My '02 Toyota Solara never seemed to have good brakes, which concerned me for such a heavy car. Installing the pads was a bit of a pain, requiring a bit of filing since they fit my caliper clips a little too tight right out of the box. The pads come with a nice adhesive shim pad that eliminates any noise or squeals. The pads also have a "break in" coating that facilitates the surface mating between the rotors and pads, and it takes a week or so of city driving to scrub that off - during that time the braking effect is only slightly diminished. The pads have added modulation that I didn't have before, a slight touch brings them on and they feel progressive right to the point of wheel lock. I now feel that my car will safely respond when I need it to stop instead of the vague feel I used to get. Now I just need to get a set for my wife's car too !! These pads are all I will use going forward....

Great stopping, but dusty
These pads are way better than stock on our 4Runner, however they do produce more dust than the OEM. They are quiet (haven't heard a squeal yet) and great pedal feel. I just hope after a few 1000 or so miles the dust will settle down.

Put these on my 05' Sequoia and was very pleased. They put a suface coating on the pads to clean up the rotors and I thought it did a great job. Breaking has been greatly improved my wife has noticed greater stopping power and better initial grip. I thought the color would stand out but its pretty hidden behind the calipers. I also liked the anti-noise shims they provide, the actually stick on so its quick and easy installation. So far I have 300 miles on them and as for right now I will definitely by these in the future.

These pads are built with OEM quality, and even had both backing pads and the factory spring holes in the right place. They grip better than stock, but do have a tiny initial application noise (chirp). So great if you want an upgrade, not great if you want perfectly quiet.

I've always heard good things about Xbrakes brake pads. Always seen them advertised on TV and recommended on PowerBlock TV. Now that I've tried them, their going on all my trucks. I put them on my 2005 Trailblazer, the absolute easiest brake install I've ever done and I do alot! The anti-vibration adhesive mat they include is impressive. Much cleaner than the anti-vibration gel I normally use. The brake dust is minimal and the braking power is awesome. You can really feel a difference. I would highly recommend them to anyone, their worth the money. And, you won't be disappointed!

I was very impressed with the quality of these pads. Exact fit. When properly installed,as they were, these brake pads are very good. I installed them on my 3/4 ton pick-up. I did all four wheels. I noticed instant results. Very good stopping power even on a very heavy vehicle. It's been about 3 to 4 hundred miles now. They are seated and broken in now and have great stopping power. I am very pleased and will definately purchase these pads again. Thanks to "Brakeworld" I found another great product.

I thought that these would be better with the dust, I was wrong they are worst then my OEM brakes. I'm not sure if they are still in the brake-in peroid. But if this keeps up I won't buy them again. I do have to say that I can stop better then before but the pads out too much dust.

Good Brakes/A Little Squeaky
Very easy install. Ordered front and rear but only installed rear so far because they were the worst and I didn't have enough time to do them all. Took less than 1 hour with only a socket wrench and floor jack. Stopping power is much better than stock but they can be a little squeaky in stop and go traffic. Overall good-less brake dust after over 500 miles including some hard off road (sand) driving.

Much better than KVR Performance pads
I've had the Xbrakes pads installed in my 92 Camry for about a week now. Wow, what a difference! The initial cold bite is very strong, I keep finding myself stopping too early with these pads. Once they warm up a bit, it seems that they bite even harder.

I put these on a '05 Ford Ranger after the OEM pad wore out. No real complaint with the stock pads just thought I would do an upgrade. The Xbrakes Pads seem to have better stopping power but not enough to justify the increased brake dust and absolutely ear drum shattering brake squeal. Considering they cost 3-4 times what OEM pads at the local parts store cost, I think I wasted my money. The pads are chamfered, slotted and have shims already attached. Not much more I can do. If out of some miracle they quiet down I'll post a retraction. But, I'm not holding my breath.

Review of Xbrakes brake pads
I installed my Xbrakes brake pads in conjunction with a set of cryo slot brake rotors and Pirelli ZR rated tires. Everything was professionaly installed. I have not done any "aggressive" driving since installation, and have only done in town stop and start driving, with the exception of one hard test stop from 100 mph. They are noise free, and brake smoothly during "normal" driving. During the high speed test stop they braked smoothly and allowed me to stay right at the edge of my tire adhesion, without need for a lot more pedal pressure as they heated up.

These pads give a much firmer feel than the stock pads. They provide more confidence in your braking. Just follow the instructions about the break in procedure. This is very important as they will not work well if you stand on them right away. I highly recommend them.

Superior to any prior brakes I have used
After finally getting both sets of brake pads on my Chrysler 300, I found that their stopping performance is better than the OEM the car came with. The noise is non existante, dust is barely noticeable and stopping power is great. The coating on the pads has made my rotors look almost like new. Thanks for an excellent product at a reasonable price.

Xbrakes brake pads are noisy
We really haven't put many miles on the pads (more than 500 but less than 1000 miles) but they are still squeaking. They do grip well but the stick-on fiber shims do not appear to be sufficient to stop the noise on our 2004 toyota highlander. We are hoping this goes away once we get past the first 1000 miles.

The pads fit very tightly in the bracket and that made it more difficult to install the caliper, a minor thing. The pads are much grippier than the stock pads they replaced. They are a little noisy but I can live with that.

Great Stopping Dirty Little Street Pads
Xbrakes pads are high coefficient of friction (0.55) pads for everyday street use. On my Audi S4 they work very well cold or hot, with very noticeable reduction in pedal force compared with OEM or high metallic pads. I do not track my car, so it rarely sees repeated high-speed braking, and fade has never been a problem. I have gotten them to begin to fade only when driving extremely hard with downhill grades - situations where OEM metal pads had faded completely to useless. Xbrakes claims an "award-winning feature of being LOW DUST", but these are some of the dirtier pads I've ever used. Clean wheels show grey within 100 miles, and I have to wash mine weekly if I want them to look good. Brake rotor wear appears to be similar to metalic pads, and on my car and driving style these pads lasted 30,000 mi. Bottom line: these work so well on the street that I put them on my daughter's car and I just put another set on mine.
